DIFFERENTIATION
The following define the MIT-ETYSBM programs as distinct from existing programs and offerings in other schools:
- Faculty
- The faculty shall be experienced practitioners and/or academicians. At the moment, we have a significant number of faculty members meeting this criterion.
- The School shall be working closely with the bigger YGC to maintain a stable of faculty/lecturers for special topics requiring actual practice and experience such as financial engineering, management of financial institutions, etc.
- Facilities
Students have access to:
- Extensive library resources including periodicals, online journals and publications like the Harvard Business Review, Bloomberg, AWSJ (Asian Wall Street Journal), BusinessWeek, Financial Times, Forbes magazine, Fortune magazine, etc.
- Simulation rooms, seminar rooms, Kitchen labs
- Up-to-date computer hardware and software on management, simulation, quantitative analysis, project management, MATLAB, etc.
- Audio/video equipment with library of resources
- LCD projectors
- Internet, network, communication facilities
- Program
- The School shall leverage on MIT’s core competence in technology-based education to provide a curriculum that is oriented towards technology management and the application of quantitative methods in business.
- The program offerings aim to mold the student to become holistic in their approach, structured in their thinking, articulate in their communications, and ethical and socially responsive in their practices.
- Methodology
- Concepts and theories shall serve as introduction to a coursework of reality-based, student-centered teaching methodology.
- Active student participation shall be encouraged through case-studies, workplace simulation, presentation, special projects and research, and apprenticeship.
- Others
- The School shall build upon existing linkages and create new ones to provide venues for the students to hone their skills through OJTs and seminars.
- Extra-curricular activities aimed at enhancing the student’s character and personality shall be actively pursued.
GENERAL PROGRAM OUTCOME
In general, we envision the graduates of the MIT-ETYSBM programs to possess and demonstrate the following traits, skills, and competencies:

The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program is designed to equip students with relevant skills and attitude to excel as a business professional and/or entrepreneur. It is technologically oriented but steeped on humanitarian values. After finishing the program, the student is expected to be adept in seeking business opportunities, in managing tasks and people, and in applying quantitative techniques that are helpful in the achievement of organizational goals.
The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) program facilitates the mastery of accountancy reinforced with management theories and concepts relevant to the current global and local needs of the business community and the public. It is designed to prepare the student for a rewarding career in accountancy whether in private or public practice through a holistic education that combines theory and practice. The Program equips the future accountant with the knowledge, proficiency, and intellectual abilities to provide services of the minimum scope and quality which the public needs and has a right to expect from an entry-level professional accountant (CHED Memorandum Order No. 26, Series of 2001).
The Program also aims to instill in students Professional Ethics like integrity, objectivity and independence, professional competence and due care, and confidentiality which are vital traits of a good accountant.
The Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) Program is designed to equip students with all the necessary management and technical skills required in running a business in the service and hospitality industry at par with international standards. Graduates of the program are expected to be highly-skilled in all discipline of the Industry. But moreover, what sets our HRM program apart is that our students will be oriented towards a future of Entrepreneurial endeavor like setting up their own restaurant, fastfood, hotel, resorts or related franchises.
